The Policymaker Task Force connects the work of Houston in Action to policy and other systems barriers to civic engagement. Texas Southern University, Rice University, and University of Houston are conducting a joint research project to identify policy and process barriers that prevent Harris County residents from civic participation. The project will enable an evidence-based and targeted approach to prioritizing the civic barriers the Task Force will address.
